Production

At the start of the year rich rainfalls generated good water reserves in the soil. Vegetation started mid may, just a few days ahead of schedule.! A mild spring turned into a warm and dry summer but luckily without heat peaks. Isolated but rich rainfalls kept the dry stress away. Picking began on the 3rd of September. The stable weather system enabled a calm and precise harvest. The grapes tasted just a bit riper as in previous years. The acidity is just a notch lower and the mouthfeel of the wines is grippy and structured. The nose is crystal-clear alluring and shows finesse and a noble understatement. The grapes for this wine are grown in the area of the Rhinefront. The main soil types are red slate and clay, a combination of different soils make this wine simply enjoyable.
