Poduction
Domaine AF GROS is a vineyard located in Burgundy, Pommard, which was founded by Anne-Francoise GROS. The creation of the Estate dates back to 1988.
Francois PARENT, from Pommard, is Anne-Francoise's husband. He has been the winemaker of Domaine's wines since its creation. Its know-how and reputation are recognized worldwide and its wines are a perfect expression of pinot noir, a unique combination of elegance and depth. The predominance of calcareous and clay soils is the origin of a very identifiable vintage.
The estate covers 14 hectares mostly planted with Pinot Noir, both in Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits. A piece of vine recently acquired in Moulin A Vent completes the range of wines on offer.
True signature of the Estate, the label on the face illustrates the unique character of each appellation. So, the face on the label is different for each vintage. This series of sanguines, whose ocher tones recall the land of Burgundy, was realized by the artist Marie Paule Deville-Chabrolle.

Tasting notes
A pretty, perfumed and quite elegant nose of markedly ripe liqueur-like red and blue berry fruit aromas is trimmed in soft earth and spice nuances. There is fine concentration to the sleek, delicious and intense middle weight flavors that possess an attractively textured mouthfeel and fine length on the mildly austere and dusty finale. This softly stony effort will need to add depth, but it appears poised to do so. Worth checking out.
